Bomani/Passage Foundation for Children
Bomani Drum & Dance Ensemble

Passage Foundation is honored to serve as the Fiscal Agent for Image Analysts All Media Services and its community effort to promote media literacy and to bring fresh and uplifting insights into the ongoing discourse on positive and negative images.

Passage Foundation for Children is a non-profit organization that provides structured coming-of-age activities especially designed to develop positive self-image in our youth. The Ensemble is composed of artistic individuals, musicians, drummers, and dancers who are mentors, graduates and students of the Passage Program.

All performers are dedicated to the preservation and continuance of traditional African Folk Art and Culture. The Bomani Drummers, Nyon Kwouya [pronounced Nye-on Coya] (Tall Spirit), the Jackaba, the Glegbe and the Poro Bush are all a part of the African Folkloric group that follow the tradition of “The Mask Dance Ritual” from the triple border region of Guinea, Liberia and the Ivory Coast.

In addition, from the Casamance region of Senegal, we feature Seasal and Geri Mama (husband and wife). These traditions constitute a rich cultural heritage that is at the fountainhead of Bomani Drum & Dance Ensemble, a family of masquerade and music accompaniment fostering good luck and peace, and celebrating balance in all of nature.

The Media Literacy Program offered by this website is indeed a Tall Spirit that brings to us all “balance in all of nature.” On behalf of this Sun Arising, we extend an invitation to our Worldwide Village to lend your support by making a generous and heart-felt contribution to maintain and sustain this magnificent journey of enlightenment and joy.

All contributions are Tax Deductible. Passage Foundation for Children Tax ID Number is 33-0428718. Please click the donation button below to support our Media Literacy Program, or mail your offerings to:
